BungoBox adds ninth franchise

Orlando, Fla. (September 19, 2011) – BungoBox, an Orlando-based company, which rents plastic reusable moving boxes, announces the opening of its ninth franchise, which is located in Tallahassee, Fla.

The new franchise was awarded to Ken Stevenson, who was hooked on the BungoBox concept after moving his daughter into her college dorm recently. “I really wish we had BungoBox for that,” he says. “BungoBox really takes the hassle out of moving.”

The company rents the reusable plastic boxes to save consumers time and money over traditional moving methods. The concept is simple: A BungoBox truck delivers the stackable moving boxes (a large box of about 2.5 cubic feet rents for $1.75 a week) to a customers’ doorstep. Once they’ve been unpacked, BungoBox picks them up at the new residence.

“Our goal is to be synonymous with moving,” says Stevenson, whose Tallahassee location serves Leon, Gadsden, Jefferson and Wakulla counties.

Co-founders Tom and Bob Cannon launched the franchise option in late 2010 and have awarded franchises in Florida in Gainesville, Jacksonville, South Florida, Tampa, and in Atlanta, Ga; Phoenix, Ariz. and Halifax, Nova Scotia.
