BungoBox awards two franchise locations in one week

Orlando-based business expands in Florida and Arizona

Orlando, Fla. – (March 7, 2011) – BungoBox, an Orlando-based company which rents reusable plastic boxes as an alternative to cardboard boxes, announces its newest territory in Phoenix, Arizona.

Last week it announced its first franchise, which is located in the greater Tampa area. And in the coming weeks, the fast-growing company plans to announce its international expansion into Canada. All this comes after launching the franchise option in late 2010.

“Things are moving even quicker than we could have expected,” says Tom Cannon, BungoBox co-founder and CEO. “We have a list of more than 100 franchise prospects and investors from Florida to Connecticut to California. ”We enjoy pioneering the business and watching it grow. This is a breakout year for us, and we don’t see the growth slowing down any time soon.”

BungoBox franchisee Chris Smatt, who just purchased the rights to the greater Phoenix territory, says, “The BungoBox concept is so new and innovative; I just knew I had to get involved. It’s one of those ground-floor opportunities that I couldn’t pass up.”

Previously, Smatt owned a financial services franchise and a securities franchise. He plans to start operations in May 2011, and his territory will cover the greater Phoenix area, including Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa, Phoenix and Scottsdale. The area consists of about 3 million residents.

The BungoBox Tampa franchise, owned by Greg and Jennifer Steinig, was announced last week and will begin operations in April 2011.

“Part of our plan includes expanding operations by opening 20 to 50 franchise locations in the next three to five years as part of a steady and strategic growth strategy,” says Cannon.
