BungoBox launches its 11th franchise location

Orlando, Fla. (Oct. 3, 2011) - BungoBox, a plastic moving-box rental company, has awarded a new BungoBox franchise in Charlotte, N.C., which will provide service to Mecklenburg, Cabarrus, Union and Caston counties.

BungoBox rents the reusable plastic bins to save consumers time and money over traditional moving methods. The concept is simple: A BungoBox truck delivers the stackable moving boxes (a large box of about 2.5 cubic feet rents for $1.75 a week) to a customer’s doorstep. Once they’ve been unpacked, BungoBox picks them up at the new residence.

Jim Amendum, Charlotte BungoBox franchisee, is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and worked as an educator prior to joining the BungoBox team.

“BungoBox fills a void in the moving industry,” Amendum says. “Our bins provide a moving alternative to cardboard that is sturdier, easier to use and cheaper.” With plans to open its doors in December 2011, Amendum says his focus is on great customer service.

Co-founders Tom and Bob Cannon, who run the BungoBox headquarters in Orlando, launched the franchise option in late 2010 and have awarded franchises in Florida in Gainesville, Jacksonville, South Florida, Tallahassee, Tampa, and in Atlanta, Ga; Phoenix, Ariz., Halifax, Nova Scotia and Edmonton, Alberta.
