Orlando, Fla. (Sept. 17, 2012)– BungoBox Gainesville, an innovative company that rents plastic reusable boxes for residential and commercial moves, announces a partnership with the Food4Kids Backpack Program, a Gainesville-based non-profit organization.
The program targets children who are chronically hungry and are at risk of not receiving food over the weekend. BungoBox will provide BungoBoxes for use in the collection and distribution of food needed to provide the children of Gainesville-area schools much needed nutritional support.
"Food4Kids is such a worthy program, and we are happy to help,” says Dave Stockman, BungoBox Gainesville franchise owner.
Food4Kids Backpack Program provides food for children on the weekends and during extended breaks from school when other resources are not available. Children who are referred into the program receive rolling backpacks filled with food (7 meals per child) every Friday. On Monday, the backpacks are returned to be refilled and redistributed at the end of the week. Food4Kids Backpack Program of North Florida, Inc. is a registered non-profit organization with the State of Florida and is 100 percent volunteer run.
