BungoBox Launches Atlanta

Orlando, Fla. – (June 3, 2011) – BungoBox, an Orlando-based company that rents and delivers plastic moving boxes, announced its latest franchise today. It will be located in Atlanta, marking the company’s sixth franchise announced since late February.

The innovative startup company, founded in May 2009, rents the reusable plastic boxes to save consumers time and money over traditional moving methods. The concept is simple: A BungoBox truck delivers the stackable moving boxes (a large box of about 3.0 cubic feet rents for $1.75 a week) to a customers’ doorstep. Once they’ve been unpacked, BungoBox picks them up at the new residence.

“We are thrilled to be breaking into the Atlanta market,” says Tom Cannon, BungoBox co-founder and CEO. “Our growth in the Southeast has been tremendous; it’s very gratifying to see our franchise network pick up this kind of momentum.”

Franchise owners and Atlanta residents, John and Lori Belton are currently looking for office space and expect operations to begin in late July. Previously, John was in the technical support industry and Lori was a contract and product line manager. The couple also owned a health food store for several years.

“We wanted to be part of this niche idea that is going to sweep the nation in the moving and storage business,” John Belton says. “It is exciting to be a part of a grassroots effort to change the way businesses and consumers perceive the moving experience and to make BungoBox ‘the name’ in the reusable box market.”

The Orlando-based company plans to award several more U.S.-based franchises before the end of the year. The new franchise, located in Atlanta, is one of several Atlanta territories for sale.
